Charlotte Grapplers

The Charlotte Grapplers Board of Directors is composed of nine (9) members who are elected to two (2) year terms, on alternating years. Nominations for open board positions are taken in April and board members are elected in May for the following season.

The Charlotte Grapplers Board of Directors meets monthly year round to discuss plans for current and future seasons. Most board meetings are open to the public and are added to the calendar as they are scheduled, and then locations and reminders are posted to our public Facebook page the week prior to the meeting.

The Charlotte Grapplers Youth Wrestling Club Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 season:

Patrick Day, Administrator

Pat has been a part of the Charlotte Grapplers for several years as a dad, a coach, and a board member. As a former Charlotte Wrestler Pat's goal is to make sure the Charlotte Grapplers Youth Wrestling Club is set up for success to continue supporting our Charlotte Grapplers now and in to the future.

Jamie Gothberg, Board Member

Jamie has been a part of the Charlotte Grapplers for a number of years as a wrestling mom and has helped keep us organized. She joined the board of directors in the '22-23 season as the Vice-Administrator and has transitioned to Board Member for the '24-25 season. She is an excellent resource for new wrestling parents to learn from as she manages to keep up with her four wrestlers!

Andrea Hillard, Secretary

Andrea joined the board of directors in the '23-24 season. She has been part of the Grapplers family for several years as a wrestling mom and is a professional educator to help us connect to different ways to teach young children.

Joe Peck, Vice-Administrator

Joe joined the Charlotte Grapplers with the '21-22 season as a coach, and was voted in to the board of directors for the '23-24 season as the treasurer and for the '24-25 season as our new Vice-Administrator. Joe is a former Charlotte Wrestler and has a passion for helping kids learn to wrestle.

Jacob Furlong, Board Member

Jacob joins the board of directors for the '24-25 season as a coach and board member. All three of his kids, Vincent, Roman, and Aubree wrestle. He also trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along with his oldest son.

Katie James, Treasurer

Katie joins the board of directors for the '24-25 season. She and her son, Beckham, are entering their 3rd year as a Grapplers family. Katie works at MSU as a research administrator and is a very passionate Spartan.

Tasha Therrien, Board Member

Tasha joins the board of directors for the '24-25 season. This is her third year as a Grappler mom. She is also leading our fundraising committee.

Austin Carmody, Board Member

Coach Austin joined the board of directors for the '24-25 season. He began his wrestling career in 6th grade at Eaton Rapids. He was a 4-time State Qualifier and a 2-time State Placer. He has been coaching for 12 years. His goal is to see each kid be well prepared to compete at higher levels.

Josh Powers, Board Member

Josh joins the board of directors for the '24-25 season as a coach and board member. Josh is currently working on his USA Cooper Certification and MHSAA Official Certification.
